Must-Have Rabbits and Bunnies

Monday, April 3rd, 2017

Brown Bunny DoorstopWhite Rabbit Wonderland CollectibleSpring is the perfect time for decorating with rabbit and bunny home accents, so we are celebrating with five of our newest rabbit and bunny spring decor here on the blog.
Take a look below.

First up is a charming addition to our selection of Lori Mitchell collectibles. This White Rabbit may look a little familiar; he is inspired by the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. Display among other literary treasures or complete the whimsical look with Alice herself this spring and throughout the year.

We are also introducing a new design by artist Leslie Anderson. Her made in the USA Cat and Kitten Doorstops are so cute and functional, she’s added a Brown Bunny to the collection.

Vintage Rabbit Metal Wall Art

Standing Brown Bunny Sculpture

Rabbit Riding Snail Sculpture

Another made in the USA spring rabbit is one that will hang on a wall among rustic wall art or above an entryway table. Crafted from metal with a textured, rusty finish, this vintage inspired rabbit makes a great addition to your spring decor and also makes a charming statement all year long.

The last, but certainly not least, two rabbit home accents are also perfect for Easter decorating. The rabbit atop a charming snail is dressed in pastels; a tailcoat and bow tie offer an additional fun and somewhat formal look.

Our Standing Brown Bunny Sculpture is not as colorful, but will make a regal statement in a centerpiece or on a shelf, or even in your country kitchen where it could hold herbs and small plants in the basket planter.

Thursday’s Theme: Easter Decorating Basics

Easter Centerpiece

We hope you’ve been able to get a good start on your spring decorating, and hope to see the ideas you’ve implemented into your home décor. Today we’re talking about the basics of Easter decorating; creating pretty centerpieces, banners, and other arrangements. While you may use some of the following in your spring décor, we will focus these ideas around the Sunday, April 5th holiday.

Easter Eggs

Eggs
Whether you partake in Easter egg hunts or not, eggs are a classic Easter decoration. Between plastic, fillable eggs and the many ways to dye real ones, there are almost limitless possibilities to using this item. If you make egg-dying a family affair, you can use natural, homemade egg dyes or purchase the pre-made dye. McCormick also has great guides for combining colors in order to make the most vibrant and unique eggs for your display. Your local craft store may also have cute egg accents for almost every budget that you can style to your liking.

Easter Grass
Easter grass has similar qualities to glitter. It’s pretty, simple, and seems to stick to you and to every surface of your home for a long period of time. Regardless of this last point, Easter grass is a great way to dress up a glass vase or display – especially when you choose a variety of pastel colors, like green, yellow, pink, blue, or purple. The hassle of the mess is just about worth your finished arrangement.

Bunnies or RabbitsChocolate Eggs
These go well with Easter egg decor, and are always cute to display in your home. For Easter, bunny cutouts that transform into banners or window and wall decals are classic ways to put these little animals on display, and they can dress up smaller spaces in your home, like a bookshelf or the window in your back door. You most likely have them in your home for spring anyway, so it’s an easy way to decorate for both the season and the holiday if you want to display those decor pieces for a longer period of time.

Jelly Beans

Bunny Cutouts

Candy and Chocolate
These aren’t exactly the items you may think of decorating with, especially since they are sure to be eaten up quickly. But if you do set out a layered vase, candy dish, or a glass bowl for jelly beans and chocolate, placing them next to a floral arrangement or under a bunny banner will make the candy look a little more decorative, even if it only stays full for a day or two.

Wednesday Spotlight: Riveting Rabbits

Wednesday, March 25th, 2015

Rabbit with Eggs Salt & Pepper ShakersBunny & Bird PotholderRabbits are commonly associated with rebirth and fertility, so when better to decorate with them than in the spring when plants and animals of all kinds are waking up from their winter slumbers? With spring also comes Easter, and if celebrated you may decorate with an Easter bunny or two. As we have just entered the spring season, we are focusing this week’s Wednesday Spotlight is on our rabbit and bunny themed decor. Happy spring!

Sleeping Rabbits Lamp

KitchenBrass Bunny Lamp Finial
Kitchen accessories are easy to change out, collect, and almost always include a functional aspect rather than being simply decorative. Our Bunny & Bird Potholder will protect your kitchen or dining room surfaces from your dishes that come out of the oven. Combined with a cute bird and other natural elements, this item can also be used as a year-round item in your home. We have also added to our selection of salt & pepper shakers with these little rabbits carrying eggs in a basket. This set is unique in that a holder is included with the salt & pepper shakers, and is simple enough to be put on display past spring if desired.

Lighting
Playing with lighting is another simple way to change up or freshen up your home decor. Our Sleeping Rabbits Lamp is a cute way to incorporate rabbits into your home or for showing your spring spirit. The white color fits in perfectly with any color scheme, especially pastel pinks, blues, and yellows that are common for spring and Easter decorating. If you’re looking for something a little more subtle, our Brass Bunny Lamp Finial will sit atop any standard sized lamp shade, and will elegantly watch over your home throughout the spring or the rest of the year.

Bunny Mischief FlagOutside
We love beautiful arrangements of flowers in a garden or in a flower pot on a front porch or front stoop, and spring brings some of the most beautiful of those arrangements. One not-so-beautiful part of spring we experience is rain and mud, which can put a damper on the outdoor liveliness of this new season. Not to worry – our all-weather Country Visit Doormat is made to withstand any season, and the three rabbits peeking over the white picket fence create a pleasant welcome to your country or urban home. The Bunny Mischief Flag is another option for bringing some spring life to the outdoors; featuring two cute bunnies surrounded by gardening tools and greenery.Country Visit Doormat

Home Accents
We couldn’t leave these other home accents off of our Rabbit Spotlight, especially since two of them are new to our catalog this spring. First though, our customer favorite Green Bunny Pillow is perfect for showing off some spring color in any room of your home, and although the green is a vibrant accent color, the black and white rabbit will help tie it in with the rest of your decor. Our new Rabbit Decorative Bowl is a great way to show off some pretty linens set underneath a gorgeous display of flowers, either on a dining room table or hallway console table. And finally, these two cute Rabbits with Carrots make the perfect table companions for our other rabbit and garden inspired decor.
