This is our final Must-Haves post of our Spring 2019 season – can you believe it? We certainly can’t. Summer 2019 arrives in two weeks here at Sturbridge Yankee Workshop, so to celebrate both seasons we’re dedicating today’s post to home accents that make great transition pieces; they are perfect for continuing to decorate in spring spirit but will complement new summer decor just as well. Tell us your favorite(s) in a comment below!
Okay, so technically this is two pieces, but since they match we’re counting them as one Must-Have. The fresh, crisp white and blue toile refreshes any table or dining space during the spring and summer; plus, the 100% cotton fabric is machine washable so you can easily clean and dry them for any occasion.
Another beautiful Susan Winget design. This pillow will brighten your indoor living spaces for the rest of spring, and when summer weather finally arrives, take this pillow outdoors on a bench or chair and continue to enjoy its charm and comfort.
One of our new favorite window treatments, because its design makes a big impression in a window while the soft polyester fabric makes it low-maintenance and easy to clean. And if you purchase this valance before Spring 2019 ends, it will ship for free!
This floral spray is a must-have because of its versatility. Add it to a spring flower arrangement or set it in a vase with geraniums this summer – the possibilities are nearly endless!
A set of two scented satchets with decorative cotton exteriors are packaged with a bow, making them a great gift for yourself or a friend. These satchets are great for setting out on a shelf or end table, but they can also be stored away with blankets, sweaters and winter coats in closets during the spring and summer to keep the items smelling fresh.

Our Spring 2019 season is well underway, which means everything in our catalog is on sale. Additionally, the curtains found among the catalog pages ship for free until May 9th, including the five valances featured here in this Weekly Spotlight. We’ve chosen valances with floral patterns, since real-time spring is still two weeks away and we’re in need of some refreshed looks to take our minds off the snow and cold outside. Tell us which one(s) is your favorite in a comment below!
Blue toile on crisp white; this valance even has coordinating tabletop accents to make it especially perfect for a dining room or kitchen.
This bold valance is a complementary piece for the Poppy Garden Quilt Set, but it will certainly bring delightful spring charm to spaces beyond your bedrooms.
This window dressing reminds us of the whimsy, cheer and brightness of the classic children’s tale. Can you find all the hummingbirds among the flowers and greenery?
Victorian inspired flowers offer timeless charm and color to your most comfortable living spaces. The coordinating chair pad and rocker pads complete the look.
This valance creates a moodier look with just as much floral freshness as the four valances above. See an alternative valance in this print here.
