This classic chocolate cookie is a staple in many kitchens, because of its sweet flavor and how easy it is to make. The no-bake cookie is perfect for any occasion; the holidays, a birthday, Valentine’s Day and so on, as well as for enjoying with your afternoon tea.
What You’ll Need:
- Baking sheet
- Wax paper or parchment paper
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 8 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup unsweetened
cocoa powder - 3 to 3 1/2 cups instant oats
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
Directions:
- Line a baking sheet with the wax or parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, bring the sugar, milk, butter and cocoa to a rolling boil over medium heat, stirring continuously for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Add the oats, vanilla and salt, combine. Mix in peanut butter until fully incorporated.
- Using a large spoon or ice cream scoop, quickly drop portions of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes until set. Enjoy!
