Tuesday Recipe: Apple & Turkey Sandwiches

Looking for an alternative to the standard ham and cheese sandwich for lunch? Today’s featured recipe highlights a twist on another traditional favorite, an Apple & Turkey Sandwich. Apples freshen the taste of any dish, and with the melted cheese in this recipe, it’s the perfect pairing. Making this recipe is pretty simple too, completed in just four easy steps. What You’ll Need:

2 T. jellied cranberry sauce

2 T. mayonaise

8 slices sourdough bread

1 lb. deli turkey, thinly sliced

1 Granny Smith apple, cored, peeled, and thinly sliced

1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

**Core, peel, and slice your apple with our Red Apple Master, shown here to the right.


1. Mix together cranberry sauce and mayonnaise; spread evenly over bread slices.

2. Arrange bread on an ungreased baking sheet. Divide turkey evenly among bread.

3. Top turkey with apple slices; sprinkle with cheese.

4. Broil until cheese is melted and golden. Serves 4.
