Monday Must-Haves: Halloween in the USA

Monday, October 12th, 2015

Fall Memories Tile & EaselWe hope you’re continuing to enjoy our Holiday 2015 Catalog – both in print and online. For this week’s Must Haves, we’re featuring new signs and art that speak to the season, and they are all made in the USA. These make the perfect accents to your spooky décor and charming home design; happy decorating!

Pat Isaac

Halloween House Wall Hanging

The Fall Memories Tile and Easel is perfect for a small table, bookshelf or mantel in any room. Artist Pat Isaac designed the charismatic imagery and varying fonts to add a fun look to the traditional materials, giving you a unique and eye-catching accent for decorating year after year.

Black Hat Society Sign Blocks

Another Pat Isaac Must-Have complements the imagery on the tile and is part of a collectible series of wall hanging (or shelf-sitting) houses. This one incorporates charming Halloween and fall details into the design for a versatile seasonal accent to display in your own home.

Pat Hutter

Artist Pat Hutter created the Black Hat Society Sign Blocks, a unique trifecta to express Halloween spirit in an entryway, reading nook, or anywhere in your home. Vivid orange and complementary black provide the background for the Halloween-inspired text and traditional pointed witch hat; a traditionally created accent with a distinctive design.

All About the Shoes Sign

A second made in the USA Pat Hutter design is seen in this green sign, featuring classic witch shoes complemented by an asymmetrical wire hanger and black bow. Hang on a doorknob or lean against a bookshelf for an amiable, eye-catching look.

Yes, I Can Drive a Stick SignWonderful Whimsy

Last but certainly not least, this witchy saying brings a lighter feel to Halloween decorations and accents while complementing those accents with its black and white façade. Add a little whimsy to your seasonal décor as well as country charm to your home with this rustic pine sign (and our four other Must-Haves!).

Save on Website Exclusive Halloween Signs

Friday, September 28th, 2012

Halloween is just a little over a month away and it’s time to start decorating. At Sturbridge Yankee Workshop there is plenty of home decor to choose from this Halloween season. Today however, we want to bring your attention to our new Website Exclusive Halloween signs that are proudly made here in the USA. Crafted of solid knotty pinewood, these handcrafted signs are made by the skilled artisans and craftsmen at Sawdust City in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Pictured above is our If the Broom Fits Ride It Sign. Painted orange with black undertones, this comical sign is detailed of black font and a little image of witch riding  a broom. This sign would look great in any room of the home for a good laugh at your Halloween get-together, and is on sale now for just $19.95.

Next up is our Double Double Toil & Trouble Sign, shown here to the left. The well known beginning to many bewitching spells, “Double double toil and trouble, Fire burn and cauldron bubble,” reads the spooky wall sign. The edges are beveled and slightly distressed, for an aged appeal. Completing the images is an appropriate witch’s cauldron in a coordinating bright, witchy green. Customers can purchase this sign for $19.95 while supplies last.

Sawdust City’s signs offer a nostalgic feel to your home’s wall decor. Exposed wood grain and the distressing applied to each handmade sign is what gives the signs their true appeal. Looking for a thoughtful gift idea? These American made signs are always a good choice; and an Eco-friendly choice at that. Sawdust City has been recognized as an entirely “green” company. After research and verification from their lumber supplier, they can proudly say that all of the lumber used to create their products is provided by high quality sawmills who follow Green Forestry Initiatives. It’s not only the wood that’s environmentally conscious, it’s the water based paints used  too.

Other new Halloween signs from Sawdust City include the Eat Drink Be Scary Sign for $29.95, and the hilarious Broomstick Halloween Sign for $19.95. Save on your Halloween wall decor this year by considering any of these reduced priced signs; hurry, as there are limited quantities available.
