Monday Must-Haves: Fall Table Settings and Decor

Monday, August 7th, 2017

While there’s still plenty of time to enjoy the rest of summer, we don’t blame you for thinking ahead to pumpkins, turkeys, leaves, gourds and all things fall. Today, we are thinking about [fall] centerpieces and tablescapes, and the five must-have home accents to make any autumn occasion comfortable and well decorated (including some suggestions from our Fall 2017 catalog).

1. Table Runner: Forest Friends Table Runner, Crow & Pumpkin Braided Table Runner

A table runner keeps your table and dining room decoratives grounded; use similar colors and textures of the table runner in wall accents and other decor, and keep your table adorned with fall charm even when there aren’t guests surrounding it.

2. Placemats: Autumn Oak & Butterfly Placemat, ©Williamsburg Jacobean Placemat

Especially when matching or coordinating with the table runner, placemats can invigorate your place settings, and in many cases offer two looks in one.

3. Candles: Fall Leaves Pillar Candle

Set a romantic, lighthearted, welcoming, and most of all, cozy mood for Thanksgiving dinner and other events celebrating the harvest season. Add a warm scent or keep it flameless for worry-free accent lighting.

4. Dinnerware: Harvest Melamine Dinnerware

Durable, dishwasher safe and decorative; melamine dinnerware is a must-have for holidays and special celebrations.

5. Floral Touches: Mini Autumn Wreath, Green & Red Berry Stem, Faux Mini Sunflowers

Red and orange flowers, berries, candle rings and other natural touches bring any festive look together. Faux florals are ideal options for keeping a look throughout the fall months, but placing fresh picked flowers into rustic tin vases or a display bowl adds a personal touch that can be swapped out.

Quick Tip: Complementing & Contrasting Home Accents

Complementing & Contrasting Home Accents

Combine different textures while maintaining a common theme for a seasonal look that is both complementary and contrasting. In this space, a braided jute basket adorned with pumpkins complements the hooked wool pillow, which happens to feature the same imagery as the doormat. The Black Crow Candelabra creates a 3-dimensional look brought out of the doormat and pillow, while the orange faux leaves and seagrass bench seats maintain the natural and warm feel.

Thanksgiving is almost here, and we hope you’ve been enjoying decorating and preparing for family and friends. This week, we are featuring some of our harvest and fall décor that is on clearance. Either choose a last minute item or get ahead with next year’s decorating and enjoy sale prices – but they won’t last forever! Happy shopping!

For your table, our Turkey Time Table Runner perfectly complements the Thanksgiving holiday, and subtle, natural colors create a calming look that will not negatively contrast with other décor. It’s also machine washable, so after the big feast you can throw it right in the washing machine and clean with ease. Matching Placemats are also available.

The Bank Barn Print

In addition, our Aspen Leaf Placemat features a rich, chocolatey brown color that is a warm invitation to enjoy the company you are in. Use as a place setting throughout the fall, or place on a side table for added harvest style.

Seasonal décor would not be complete without a lush, vibrant garland, and our Sunflower & Pinecone Garland fits those and other admirable requirements. Drape over a mantel, entryway table or over a door for a warm and sunny look in any room.

Pilgrim Sculptures Set

Speaking of sunny, artist Michael Fratrich used lively color and comforting inspiration for The Bank Barn Print. The realistic image is eye-catching every time, and its autumn landscape is perfect for fall decorating, but also for keeping on your wall all year long.

Last but not least is our charming pilgrim couple, awaiting your invitation to join your home décor. Folk art charm gives any surface a traditional look that is perfect for family gatherings and cheerful meals. Crafted by artist Lori Miller, this pair will keep a warm smile on your face throughout the holiday and season.
