Tasteful Tuesday: Halloween Apple Mouths

Tuesday, October 27th, 2015

Today’s recipe marks our last apple concoction – that’s right, October is only a few days away from being over. With this, of course, comes Halloween, so this recipe has a spooky twist to it, although the treat itself is nothing but wonderful.

What you’ll need:

*This will make one apple mouth – alter for personal taste and serving needs

  • Large Macintosh apple, quartered and cored
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 20 thin almond slices

Directions:

  1. Brush the inside of quartered and cored apple with lemon juice.
  2. Cut a wedge out of the skin side of each quarter to create a mouth.
  3. Fill each mouth with peanut butter. Arrange almond slices as teeth.
Serve on glass dish or seasonal tray and enjoy!
