Wednesday, October 18th, 2017

By now our first two Holiday catalogs have reached you, and we hope you’ve enjoyed browsing our new home accents to get ready for the holiday season. Today, we are spotlighting our first two covers and the five items taking up this impressionable space.

Harvest / Fall / Thanksgiving

Tom & Goody Gobbler are back this year, in their same whimsical spirit and cheerful colors. Designed by artist Lori Mitchell, Tom & Goody are welcome (re)additions to our selection of collectibles.

◊ The Maple Leaves & Berries Wreath is a new addition to our all-natural selection of greenery, featuring a half-exposed grapevine base for an even more natural look on a wall or door this autumn.

◊ These glass accent lights are becoming a customer favorite, and it is easy to see why. The decorative element paired with a source of light makes it a sight to behold day or night. The SYW exclusive Snowy Drive Accent Light on the cover features a vintage red truck hauling an evergreen tree towards home; the snowy imagery is quite realistic.

◊ Also featured are two 18″H Lighted Feather Trees, which have bendable branches and burlap bases. These are perfect for decorating a table, bench or other surface of your home during the holidays, and as they come pre-lit, there are no tangled string lights to deal with (more sizes available).

◊ Finally, decorating the trees are Glass Ball Ornaments, which come as a set of twelve. Inspired by vintage ornaments, these crackled mercury glass renditions in silver, gold, red and green are perfect for decorating your tree in holiday cheer.

Home Decorating with Autumn Leaves

Thursday, August 31st, 2017

Here in New England, the wait for leaves to turn into their warm, bursting fall colors is full of anticipation and excitement (albeit a little dread for what comes after). As much as we love the leaves outside our homes, we love using leaves inside as home accents. Here are some crafty and creative ways to bring these objects indoors.

Leaf ornaments are perfect for hanging in a window, from a wall hook or for adorning a seasonal wreath. These stained glass leaves are handcrafted, and reflect warm light as the sun shines outside.

You could also frame pictures or images of leaves and create a fresh, nature-inspired gallery wall
in a bedroom, hallway or family room. Go green, or choose earthy colors for a harvest look.

If you’re already thinking about an autumn centerpiece, use a table runner as a starting point.
Opt for one designed with leafy shapes, or make your own with leaf printed fabric.

Incorporate fall’s other favorite symbol, the pumpkin, with the following craft from Good Housekeeping. Stick with classic red, yellow and orange colors, or style with a room’s color scheme in mind.
