Weekly Spotlight: Summer Clearance Decor

Wednesday, July 11th, 2018

It’s only fitting that our Fall/Halloween catalog launches this Friday, the 13th. That’s right, we are saying so long to Summer and hello to Autumn – as far as our catalog goes, anyway. You will still see some summer-related posts here on the blog, on Facebook and on Twitter, but it won’t be long before we’ve fully transitioned into the new season.

For these next two days, though, you can still get special savings on pillows and made in the USA home accents by visiting our website or submitting any last-minute orders over the phone. And for even more savings, browse our selection of clearance items; five of which we have featured below.

3. Perpetual Calendar Scroll Clock: $29.99

It’s up to you whether or not you want to keep track of the time and days this summer, but this perpetual calendar can help you do both.

4. Sunny Side Magnet Board: $34.99

Thursday, June 21st, 2018

Summer is officially here! We hope you’ve been enjoying June so far, and have a variety of activities lined up for your summer season – whether that be relaxing on vacation with a Sturbridge Yankee Workshop catalog, entertaining friends and family outside or simply taking a break from a day of summer gardening.

You may also be planning some DIY projects, or hoping to at least, so if this describes you, we have some good news. To pass the time this summer while enjoying nice weather and extended days, here are six DIY projects and activities we’ve rounded up from Pinterest.

Switch up your kitchen textiles and linens with fun and colorful Fruit Stamped Tea Towels. They are perfect for you kitchen at home or up to camp, and allow you to get creative while incorporating functional decor. *Making Home Base

Of course, we’ve all heard the notorious message from kids on summer vacation: “I’m bored!” This is of course, easily remedied by 1. Telling them how many chores they can do and/or 2. Turning to an Activity Jar and pulling out a random note or popsicle stick with an activity written on it. *The Crafting Chicks

Finally, we saw so many pins for Summer Bucket Lists on our search through Pinterest. Get creative by using scrapbook paper, stickers, special pens and markers, Washi tape, etc. and write out some things you’d like to get done, people you’d like to see, and places you’d like to visit over the summer. It will be fun to check each item off the list and look back on the adventures you had. For a little inspiration, we’ve attached a Summer Bucket List printable [here] and below that you can print out and fill out!
