Decorating with Color: Pantone’s 2019 Color of the Year

Pantone®’s Living Coral is 2019’s Color of the Year, so today we’re featuring some ways to incorporate this color into your own home – minimally or to the max.

If you aren’t convinced to fully commit to this color, the best way to test the waters is with small home accents like pillows, throw blankets, flower vases, wall art and other similar items.

The next step to a Living Coral dream home is upholstery. A coral and cream check pattern or even a toile is the perfect way to bring this bold hue into a country home or cozy family room.

Other furniture – including an accent table, dining room hutch, bedroom dresser, or country chair can also brighten up your home when painted or finished in Living Coral.

Olive greens, cream, and browns keep this room from looking too monotone, while supporting the coral color as the focal point of the space. While painting the walls of your home take more time and commitment than adding throw pillows or a table here and there, we think this example shows just how great it could look.
