We’re following last week’s fudge recipe with this refreshing and sweet strawberry lemonade – perfect on a hot afternoon or during a family barbecue. The secret to this beverage is to make it with fresh ingredients; and when it becomes an instant favorite this summer, you’ll be glad you did!
- Approximately 1 pound
- 2 lemons
- 8 cups water
- 3/4 cups honey
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Wash well and cut the stems off the strawberries and the ends of the lemons. Cut the strawberries and lemons into quarters; don’t take the skin off the lemons.
- Combine in a blender with 2 cups of water, and pour the honey over the mixture. Liquefy for about 1 minute.
- Pour the liquid through a strainer, using the spatula to scrape it through if necessary. Add the remaining 6 cups of water through the strainer to dilute any remaining mixture.
- Add the sugar to the liquid and chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour. Serve in a glass with crushed ice, or add to a beverage dispenser to enjoy at you and your guests’ leisure, and enjoy!
