Artist Bonnie White has shared with us at Sturbridge Yankee Workshop, many of her beautiful folk art prints over the years. She presents charming scenes depicting country village life, across all seasons. And for the holiday season, Bonnie White does not disappoint. Let’s take a look below.
Pictured here to the left is our new Fresh Baked Pies Print, proudly made here in the USA. It’s that time of year again, and everyone in town is prepared to help with the autumn harvest. The traveling aroma of ‘freshly baked pies’ inspires folks to lend a hand; apple, pecan, and pumpkin varieties available. Horse drawn wagons carry barrels full of fall’s best crops and recently picked apples to various spots in town. This wonderfully detailed piece of wall art is perfect to display during the entire fall season, highlighted particularly well for the Thanksgiving Day holiday.
Available now for $20 off the original price at just $99.95, customers will be happy to learn that this item will SHIP FREE for the holidays.
Next up, and also new for the holiday 2012 catalog at SYW, is our On Our Way to Christmas Print. Shown here to the left, this print could be the ideal piece of wall decor for the winter season. As mentioned, Bonnie enjoys seasonal paintings; although slightly similar in their essence, each print offers great attention to detail and you’ll have fun discovering all of the activity she manages to create in one scene. Step back to a simpler time when Christmas traditions included visiting local shops in town, taking a horse-drawn sleigh ride, and watching children play in the snow. This charming New England village scene portrays Christmases of long ago, for the low price of $99.95 this season.
On Our Way to Christmas Print is also available with FREE SHIPPING during our current holiday promotion. Have a Bonnie White fan on your shopping list this year? About the Artist
Bonnie painted as a child but it wasn’t until after her youngest son entered kindergarten that she picked up a paint brush again. She grew up on her family’s horse farm in Canaan, NY and assisted with the farm until she had a family of her own. When the duties of family and farm life settled down, she had more time to revisit her artistic ability. Bonnie began to explore craft shows and folk art galleries, realizing she very much enjoyed the style. Inspired by her childhood upbringing and interest in historic homes, the ideas of what to paint were endless.
Bonnie has been recognized in Early American Life’s directory of traditional crafts for the holidays, for the past 5 years; being featured as a traditional artisan in America. Today, her husband, Scott, their three sons, dog ‘Misty,’ and cats ‘Mittens’ and ‘Scooter,’ all live happily on their Spring Gait Farm.
